Art of PBK

Phillip B. Klingler (b. 1960) has been immersed in the world of art since his teenage years. He began in the mid-1970s creating and submitting graphic art to various publications, including well-known comic book fanzines such as The Comics Journal. In the early 1980's, as he pursued his development through fine arts programs at Northern Michigan University, then California State University, he participated in many group exhibitions. Embracing the mail art movement, Klingler found a platform to showcase his irreverent postcard collages in numerous shows. Over time, his collages, drawings and painted works began being used as graphic designs, gracing the covers and inserts of his own audio releases and those of fellow artists as well. More recently, Klingler has begun using AI and glitch software programs to create graphic representations for hundreds of digital releases at Bandcamp. PBK Domineer Reissue

PBK's "Domineer" album is now reissued or the first time since its original release in 1992. RRRecords put it out originally on the 3-LP boxset, "Domineer/Asesino/Retro", limited to 300 copies which quickly went out of print. Mastered to a high-quality chrome cassette, the master tape was lost over twenty years ago, the reason "Domineer" has never been reissued. For this version, Phillip B. PBK Digital Reissues

Since October, fifteen previous releases have been added to the PBKsound Bandcamp site. Reaching back to the early 2000's there are the collaborations with Russian composer, Artemiy Artemiev, "Dreams In Moving Space" and "A Moment Of Infinity"; "Transphere 1997_99" with Irish electroacoustic artist, Slavek Kwi, aka Artificial Memory Trace; and the audio works with John Wiggins (USA) compiled on "Where Pathways Meet (1998-2001)". After that, more collaborations from the 2000's with Animal Machine (UK), Government Alpha (Japan), Tissa Mawartyassari (USA), Jim O'Rourke (Japan), Wolf Eyes (USA), Richard Ramirez (USA), and A Week Of Kindness (USA).
