A follow-up to "This Home Stands on Ancient Bones", this release expands the collaboration with the addition of Kirk Wilson. "Cartology of Shadows" explores dark, introspective terrain through fractured sound design and text performance by Nigel Ayers, moving through surreal, psychological, and existential themes.
Nigel Ayers (Nocturnal Emissions), PBK, Kirk Wilson, and Allan Zane (WYRM / Le Scrambled Debutante) each bring distinct experimental approaches, ranging from electroacoustic and noise to ambient collage and field recordings, resulting in a dense, immersive work that feels more channeled than composed.
Initiated by PBK, the project builds on the intuitive, collaborative spirit of its predecessor, evolving into a unified and deeply atmospheric sonic experience.
